4/19: I was just taking a stroll through my hero Michael McDonald's web site. It's pretty cool and very basic. When I went to his "Journal" section I realized how straight ahead his approach was. So once again I am inspired by one of my greatest influences. Keep it simple. Thanks Mike!
It's been a turbulent few weeks down here in FL. Lots going on and lots of decisions to make. I'm teaching a ton of Yoga and looking forward to opening my own school in the not too distant future, but as they say, "Location, Location, Location!" I know it will all make itself apparent in due time.
The concept is to open a Bikram Yoga College of India and enjoy teaching yoga while simultaneously funding my music endeavors. Gotta' get creative while we all figure out how musicians are going to make a living selling product again.
I was a bit blue today and picked up the phone and called my pal Jim Kimball in Nashville. Then I called my buddy Chris Rhyne in LA. (Chris's father Earl is very sick. I wish the whole Rhyne family all the best.) Then I called Tom Tracy on Cape Cod. I laughed about the silliest stuff with all three of them. We lived out in LA together in the mid '80's and I was the "kid" back then. Too much fun, and the friendships endure. Great friends are what life is all about. I've had my ups and downs with these guys, but we are brothers and the ups are and will continue to be outstanding.
